Wildcats Continue to Build Up Blue Line

The Wildcats have signed ’98 born defenseman Dakotah Woods.  The 6 foot 4 inch blue-liner played the past season for the Nickel City Sons where he collected 13 points and 112 penalty minutes in 63 games played.  The North Bay product also suited up for the OHL Gold Cup representing Team NOHA at the prestigious event.  Woods shares some hockey history with coach Hewitt and is looking forward to spending the year in Elliot Lake.

“I’m excited to be joining a franchise that is looking out for my best interest.  Nathan was an assistant coach with me in Peewee and we had a great run.  I also like the idea of joining a new franchise and the opportunities that come with that.”  Woods continued.   “I look forward to being a role model in the city.  It [Elliot Lake] seems like a great place.  I can’t wait to hit the ice and volunteer my time by helping members of the community.”     Welcome to the Wildcats, Dakotah!
